Stephanie McPherson has been the CEO/Chief Librarian of Trent Lakes Public Library (TLPL) since 2013. Stephanie obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Laurentian University, and then attended the University of Western Ontario for both her Master of Arts in History and her Master of Library and Information Science. Stephanie says that the favourite part of her job at TLPL is seeing and helping many different people every day. She loves to see the excitement in people, especially the children, when the new books arrive. She also enjoys teaching people about new technology.
Kim Fernandes has been the Library Assistant at TLPL since 2013. Kim completed the EXCEL program through the Southern Ontario Library Service in 2016. Kim says that her favourite part of her job at TLPL is helping to organize the children’s book collection. She also loves running the Story Time program in the Buckhorn branch.
Susan Warren has been the Branch Manager at TLPL for over 12 years. She works the Helen Bowen branch in Cavendish. Sue completed her Library Excel Program in 2006. Sue says that the favourite part of her job at TLPL meeting people and talking with everyone in the community. She also likes helping the patrons find books.
Joanne O'Heron started working at the library in Spring 2022. She works at both Buckhorn and Cavendish branches. Joanne says that her favourite part of her job is meeting new people and helping the community. She loves to read a variety of genres and debut authors. Joanne is currently taking EXCEL Library courses through Ontario Library Service.
Shelby Amodeo started at the Buckhorn branch at the beginning of 2023. Shelby recently graduated from the University of Toronto and returned to Trent Lakes. She loves to read graphic novels and fantasy books. Shelby's favourite part of the job is collection development and working with the community. She is looking forward to attending Library School while working here as well.
